Privacy policy

Your comparison stays on your device.

This policy describes the current app, your local content, optional support correspondence and this documentation website.

Effective date: 21 October 2026. Scope: the current pre-release React Native implementation of Pros & Cons: Compare Options from RainDigit.

What RainDigit receives through the app

The current app does not send your projects, goals, options, criteria, measurements, arguments, risks, notes or chosen images to RainDigit. It does not require a RainDigit account and has no developer-operated cloud sync, advertising, tracking or third-party usage analytics. It does not automatically send error reports to RainDigit.

Content stored on your device

The app stores projects, editing drafts, recovery information and preferences locally. That content includes information you enter and images you choose. There is no developer-held copy from which RainDigit can restore a lost project.

Your operating system, device backup service or selected file provider may store or sync copies according to your settings and its own terms. Local app storage does not mean every operating-system backup or file provider is offline.

Files, images and permissions

Opening a project reads the local file you select. Choosing a cover or criterion/risk image reads the selected image and stores a processed copy in the project. These actions do not upload the file or image to RainDigit. The app does not need your camera or microphone; background audio recording is not used.

System file and photo pickers are controlled by the operating system. You can cancel a selection or manage the app's photo permissions in system settings. The original image in your library is managed separately from its copy in a project.

Local development diagnostics

Local diagnostic logging is available only in development builds and is off by default. Its fixed event codes, counts, timings and technical session markers stay on the device; it excludes entered project text and images and has no automatic network transmission. A log reaches support only if you choose to send it.

App Store and planned purchases

Purchasing is not enabled in the current development version. A free download and one-time Results unlock are planned. We will update the purchase disclosure before introducing billing. Apple separately handles App Store distribution, TestFlight feedback or system diagnostics under its Privacy Policy and your Apple settings.

Support correspondence

If you email RainDigit, we receive your email address and the information or attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and investigate your request. Your email provider also processes the message. Do not send passwords, payment details, tokens or confidential projects. Contact us if you want information you sent to support corrected or deleted; applicable legal obligations may affect what can be removed.

Your choices and deletion

You can delete projects from the library and manage selected images and preferences in the app. There is no Pros & Cons account to delete. Removing an app does not necessarily remove operating-system backups, independently saved files or copies held by file providers. Manage those separately. RainDigit cannot remotely erase local content or recover it for you.

This documentation website

These static pages use no analytics scripts, advertising, contact forms or remote embedded media. They are hosted by GitHub Pages, which receives connection information such as an IP address when you visit. GitHub's handling is described in its Privacy Statement.

Changes and contact
